What does it cost to have a website built?
With us, building a website is one-off work; after that only the SEBA Web Platform continues monthly, for hosting, SSL, DNS, deployment and monitoring. That monthly service is the same for every website and does not depend on the number of pages. What the build costs depends on the number of pages, how much custom work the design needs and which integrations you need. You get one quote with scope, quantities, planning and price.
How long does it take to build a website?
The lead time depends on the size of your website and on how quickly texts, images and feedback are delivered. In the quote we set out a concrete planning, including feedback rounds, a go-live date and what we need from you at which moment to meet it.
Do I own my website and domain?
Yes. You are and remain the owner of your domain name, your content and your data. We state that explicitly in the quote. SEBA remains the owner of the generic platform and the underlying automation we use to manage the website.
Is hosting included in the price?
Yes. The SEBA Web Platform covers hosting, SSL certificate, backups, technical monitoring, DNS management, staging, deployment and rollback. Content changes are deliberately not included: you buy those per job, or you reserve capacity for them each month. So your website is not just sitting there: it is actively managed.
Can I change things myself later, or do you do that?
We do: you don’t need an admin environment and the site stays fast and secure. Content changes are deliberately not part of the platform: that way you don’t pay for hours you don’t use. You submit a change via the client portal and buy it per job, or you reserve monthly capacity with Web Care. Extra work outside the agreed scope is estimated in advance and billed per quarter hour. Never as a surprise afterwards.
